[問題討論] Planet Yoga and credit cards

Just read/watched news that Planet Yoga members protested HKAB over instalment payments (供款):

I then wondered did the instalment members sign up for a xx-month prepaid membership rather than a monthly fee,so the members are liable for instalments even tho the merchant has collapses (as V7 appears to suggest)

If they are monthly FEES,I agree that bank has some sort of responsibility to request the acquiring bank to "charge back"the acquiring bank.

For those beauty club,if they are installment plan,NO WAY of chargeback if they are just by installments.

In terms of OASIS,no standard answer.After all it depends on how long ago the transaction was done before the merchant close down and the deal between the bank and the merchant.E.g.,if I pre-paid my trip for next year and the merchant already got the money from the bank,it is NOT the bank's fault;versus if I paid for the trip next WEEK and the merchant close down before the bank pays for the merchant,the bank should not charge the customer.

I think the protesting instalment members missed the news from the liquidator that the acquiring bank will suspend instalment DDA charges from 8 May,so I dunno what they were protesting about:

I suppose the instalment members is a pretty open and shut case - even if Planet Yoga's acquirer tried to charge on the instalment DDAs,the member's issuers will immediately charge it back as it is within 120 days (if Visa).

Now I wonder is my understanding correct,and whether the prepayment (預繳)members will get any luck with the acquirer.Did Yoga Yoga 預繳members get their money back?

It does not appear that the banks share the liquidator's view:

got the dispute form...i find the below:
1.Agreement :"I agree to pay the bank the disputed amount together with the interest and fee/charges on the disputed amount over the period from the date of the respective transactions until full payment of the disputed amount is made in the event that i am liable for such transactions."

We cannot stop the payment and you must pay the installment under the "Installment terms or conditions""even they didn't pay to PY.
I asked them to explain if they didn't pay to PY,why need us to pay to them ??They just continues to say you must follow the "T&C"to pay the rest of the installment.
Where our money went ????"
